An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Inclusion Department in a new, innovative role as the Early Years School Link Assistant.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated person to work as part of the Additional Learning Needs Team, Education and Children Services, in developing information resources and support to address the readiness skills needed in children to ensure all pupils have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop. To provide Maternity and Early Years Services, and families with accessible and up to date resources and information to positively support children’s developmental needs from birth, to ensure children have the school readiness skills needed upon their entry into education at Foundation Phase. To work with identified schools across the county in developing the resources and skills required for responding positively to and supporting children who enter education not school ready.

We are looking for a suitably experienced professional this may include an NVQ 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification and experience of working within an education setting. The individual will have knowledge and understanding of the different requirements and needs of children at relevant developmental stages, show dedication, resilience, and determination to ensure the best outcomes for young children. 

You will be organised, hardworking, and have excellent interpersonal skills. You will communicate clearly and be able to develop good working relationships with young children, their families, and a wide range of other professionals.
