We have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Team Leader to join our Team.
As a Payroll Team Leader you will play a key role in maintaining and delivering efficient and accurate procedures for dealing with all aspects relating to Payroll.
You will be integral in leading and developing a Team of Payroll Officers ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely payroll for our inhouse Direct Payment Service.
The successful applicant should possess extensive knowledge of Payroll processes and procedures and an understanding of UK Payroll legislation.
Working knowledge of pension payments, HMRC payments, monthly RTI submissions, Year end processes including preparing P11d’s and HMRC submissions.
Working as a Team Player is also key for this role, along with excellent organisation and communication skills and excellent customer service skills.
In accordance with the Council’s ‘One Team’ approach, applicants will need to demonstrate their ability to be flexible and adaptable to change.
You will need a basic knowledge of Welsh. Support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
