Description

We are looking to fill a post within the Benefits Section, which is a front line service with responsibility for the invoicing and collection of Benefit Overpayments payable to the Council

The postholder will  assist and support the Overpayments Officer  in the  recovery of overpayments and instigate the most appropriate and effective mechanism for recovery in accordance with legislative powers and internal guidelines

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, committed team-person with good organisational, communication and interpersonal skills and  with experience in dealing with customers, ideally in a busy accounts receivable environment.

The Council operates a fully computerised invoicing system, a confident approach to working with IT systems is therefore essential.
