Temporary/Casual Work as and when required
£10.90 per hour
We have opportunities for temporary and casual employment to cover absences within the Contract Cleaning Service to work either individually or as part of a team. Our working hours are ideal to fit around family commitments and school holidays which include early morning, evening, and weekend shifts. We have cleaning opportunities in various establishments throughout the County of Carmarthenshire e.g., schools, office buildings, sheltered schemes complexes etc.
Whilst experience and knowledge of Health and Safety would be advantageous, no previous cleaning experience is necessary and full training will be provided.
If you join the team as a Casual Cleaner via the Council’s recruitment process and temporary jobs subsequently become available, we generally appoint to these posts from our casual pool of staff.
The Cleaning Service has played a key part in keeping people safe during the COVID 19 pandemic and provides an essential service to primary and comprehensive schools and office environments throughout the County of Carmarthenshire. The purpose of the role is to undertake cleaning tasks, providing a high standard of service ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for staff, pupils and visitors.
A basic knowledge of Welsh is required to accomplish this post. Support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
