Temporary post until 31/03/2023 due to secondment.
We have a temporary opening within our Cashiers Section where the post-holder will be responsible for accepting and processing cash, card or cheque payments received either in person across the counter, by post, or over the telephone.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience in cash handling and banking procedures, and will need to be computer literate as the Council operates a fully integrated computerised cash receipting system.
A confident approach to working with IT software systems and dealing with external customers is therefore essential.
Although based at Llanelli the postholder may be required to work at the Carmarthen and Ammanford cash offices occasionally to provide cover.
