Description
32.5 hours per week
We are seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to join the County’s Behaviour Support Community Team (BSCT) to work alongside the Behaviour Support Teacher to support schools and pupils within the local authority cluster model.
The BSCT provides schools across the county with in-school behaviour support for individual pupils and groups. We provide guidance for teachers on appropriate behaviour management strategies, link with parents/carers and other professionals and deliver training and other professional development opportunities as required.
Training in our approaches to behaviour management will be provided for the successful candidate.
The posts will require the postholders to travel extensively across the county and access to a vehicle is essential.

The successful applicant will need to be registered with the Education Workforce Council for Wales before appointment.
A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be requested for this post.
You will need a basic knowledge of Welsh. Reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
