£12.18 per hour
Carmarthenshire County Council has seven Residential Care Homes and operates two Day Services for older adult throughout the County.
Our care facilities provide a warm, friendly, home from home safe haven for service users who are unable to live independently and those who have a wide variety of complex needs including dementia and physical frailty.
We are looking for Casual Care Workers who can provide high levels of support including personal care, daily living tasks as well as promote independence within our homes at the following locations:

• Awel Tywi Care Home, Ffairfach, Llandeilo, SA19 6SY
• Caemaen Care Home, Coleshill Terrace, Llanelli, SA15 3BT
• Llys y Bryn Care Home, Bryn, Llanelli, SA14 9AD
• Y Bwthyn, Bigyn Road, Llanelli, SA15 1PA
• Y Plas Care Home, Felinfoel, Llanelli, SA15 4LP
• Dol Y Felin Care Home, St Clears, Carmarthen, SA33 4LR
• Maesllewelyn, Newcastle Emlyn, SA389AB
• Cwmamman Day Centre, Cwmamman Road, Garnant SA18 1NS
• Cartref Cynnes Day Centre, Johnstown, Carmarthen, SA31 3NQ
We have day and night work available with opportunities for gaining experience and progression. Please specify in your statement which of our care homes or day centres you would like to work in.
You will work in accordance with the standards set by the Social Care Wales Code of Professional Practice for Social Care Workers.
All care staff will be expected to work towards a QCF Level 2 for registration purposes, paid full induction and training package with an excellent career progression pathway.
You will need a good level of conversational Welsh. Reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be requested for this post.
