Description
Following recent internal changes an opportunity has arisen for a Housing Officer to join our Neighbourhood Team dealing with Anti-social behaviour (ASB) in Council properties, breaches of Occupational Contracts, Illegal Gypsies and Travellers encampments and some breaches of tenancy on our designated Gypsy and Traveller site and in the Community.
This role is temporary to cover maternity leave up to 01/12/2023, working 37 hours per week.
About the Neighbourhood Housing Officer:
The overall purpose of the role will be to deal with and manage ASB issues in Housing properties, and ensure tenants adhere to the terms of their Occupational Contract.
It will also involve managing ASB on our Gypsy and Traveller site, and those in the community. You will be responsible for an area of the County and manage a caseload of ASB/Occupational Contract- related issues.
Requirements of the Neighbourhood Housing Officer:
Knowledge of law and policy related to housing management is essential and a housing qualification or related experience would be desirable.
Experience of using various tools to deal with tenancy breaches as well as experience and understanding of working with the Gypsy and Traveller community would be desirable.
You will be someone with a positive and enthusiastic personality with a strong focus on customer services, attention to detail and positively contribute to the role and team you work in.
The ability to plan, organise and prioritise work is essential.
The ability to travel around the County is essential.
You will need a good level of conversational Welsh. Reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
