*Market Supplement - 1 payment of £1,018 to be made if in employment as of the 31/03/2023
Would you like to expand your skills in mental health in Carmarthenshire by specialising in work with people who have mental health needs and offending histories. The ability to build rapport , sustain positive relationships, pay attention to detail together with the possession of sound assessment and risk management skills will be key attributes for this role. You will hold a relevant professional Qualification eg, Degree in Social Work, RMN, Degree in Occupational Therapy and be in possession of PG Cert in Approved Mental Health Professional practice.
You will be expected to hold a complex caseload of people who are subject to various sections under Part 3 of the Mental Health Act 1983. You will act as departmental expert on mentally disordered offenders, mentoring other practitioners on the management of offending risk and attending relevant forums where the management of offenders is the focus. You will work closely with partner agencies such as the Forensic Mental Health Team in the local Health Board, Probation, the Police etc…
