Temporary post to cover maternity leave.
30 hours per week.
We are seeking an experienced care worker to join the team at Ty Pili Pala, candidates must have NVQ Level 2 or 3 and will be required to undertake regular ad hoc, acting up on a rota basis, an appropriate enhanced rate will apply for ad hoc hours.
The individual will work as part of a team to provide high quality care within the reablement unit. The aim of the unit is to work with service users to regain, strengthen and/ or learn new ways of completing daily living tasks which will enable them to achieve their goals to return home and live as independently as possible, following an injury or period of illness.
Being a Care worker is a rewarding role and we are seeking individuals who are motivated, passionate, have a positive attitude and want to make a difference to the lives of the people we support.
Responsibilities will also include (but not restricted to):
• Personal Care Duties
• Moving and Handling, using equipment where required
• Meal Preparation
• Assistance with medication (as per the Authority’s Medication Policy)
• Taking direction from visiting professionals (Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, GP, District Nurse etc)
