Ysgol Y Bynea is a happy, caring, English medium Community school that caters for pupils from 3-11. The school is situated on a large site providing excellent opportunities for outdoor learning. We believe that our pupils learn best when they feel safe and supported, and we strive to create a positive and nurturing environment where everyone feels welcome.
The Governors of Ysgol Y Bynea are looking for a passionate, innovative and inspirational leader who has the necessary professional skills to build on the solid foundations and excellent relationships that are already in place.
The successful candidate must be a dynamic, resilient leader who would grow the existing vision for the school, whilst driving forward local and national priorities.
We are looking for a highly visible and approachable headteacher who must demonstrate:
• A commitment to enhance our distinctive and inclusive vision and ethos.
• A passion for supporting and improving the wellbeing of all.
• A belief that all children, regardless of background or ability, can succeed.
• Strong strategic leadership skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards
• of teaching and learning, enabling every child to reach their full potential.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to motivate and empower others.
• The ability to look beyond the school gates and develop positive, effective relationships with families and the wider community.
Ysgol Gynradd Y Bynea is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment.
Applicants applying for their first Headteacher appointment must hold the NPQH.
The successful applicant will need to be registered with the EducationWorkforce Council for Wales before appointment.
A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be requested for this post.
You will need a good level of conversational Welsh. Reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
