Bryngwyn and Glan-y-Mor Federation of Schools
1,067 on Roll at Bryngwyn; 585 on Roll at Glan-y-Mor 19 in the Autistic Unit.
Start Date: 1st September 2024 (or as soon as possible).
Governors seek to appoint a dynamic and inspirational Executive Headteacher who will continue to raise our aspirations and ensure consistent outstanding learning opportunities for all students. The Federation is looking for a committed professional who has experience of maintaining and increasing performance and standards for every member of the Federation community.
The Bryngwyn and Glan-y-Mor Federation of schools are based in Dafen and Burry Port respectively. Both schools are adjacent to the beautiful Carmarthenshire coast and have easy links to the M4.
The Governors are committed to appoint an Executive Headteacher who:
• Is a leader with a proven track record of raising attainment and ensuring the very best progress for pupils.
• Has the vision, knowledge, experience and skills to lead this sector leading Federation.
• Can build on the existing strengths and further develop the potential of pupils and staff.
• Is committed to maintaining high standards of achievement and behaviour.
• Has the ability to inspire, motivate and enthuse pupils and staff.
• Is approachable, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Is committed to growing the Welsh provision within the Federation.
The successful applicant will need to be registered with the Education Workforce Council for Wales before appointment.
A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be requested for this post.
You will need a basic knowledge of Welsh. Reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
