Terms of Use
These Terms and Conditions apply to your use of the Site (East Sussex College Group's online recruitment website). You are required to read, understand and agree to the Conditions before proceeding to use the Site.
The following conditions set out your rights and obligations, and those of East Sussex College Group, in terms of your use of the site and our use of your data.
Using the Site
When you register to use the Site you must provide accurate and up-to-date information about yourself. You will be required to provide a login name and password. You must keep these confidential and must not disclose it to any third party.
Confirmation of registration will be sent by the Human Resources Office to the e-mail address you supply on registration. East Sussex College Group reserves the right to suspend or terminate members’ use of the Site, or parts of it. Any person whose access has been suspended or terminated will not be permitted to re-register for, or re-access, the Site without our prior written consent. You are responsible for everything which is done on and / or through the Site while your membership account is logged with the Site, or which is done on and / or through your email address.
Operation of the Site
East Sussex College Group aims to ensure that all information provided on the Site is accurate and virus-free. We reserve the right at our discretion to withdraw or modify aspects of the Site and its Terms and Conditions of Use, or the entirety of it. There may also be times when the Site becomes inaccessible as a result of technical difficulties. We cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage due to the failure or termination of the service, although we will make reasonable efforts to let you know in advance of planned service interruptions.
Data Protection and Privacy
The information you provide will be used to assess your application against the requirements for the post, to confirm references, verify educational background and qualifications, and for any other purpose relevant to your application and our recruitment processes. It will also be used for statistical purposes.
Your information will be held securely and access will be restricted to those who are involved in the recruitment process. By submitting an application you consent to the processing of your personal data for the purposes described above.
If your application is successful your information will be retained and will form the basis of your personal file. Records of all unsuccessful applications will be kept by East Sussex College Group for a period of 6 months from the date that an appointment decision is notified, together with brief notes.
Your personal details may be disclosed to third parties, both electronically and manually, for the purposes of recruitment and employee administration and of obtaining confidential feedback from you on the recruitment system process for the purpose of future system improvement.
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you and to have any inaccuracies in your information corrected, by contacting at HR@sussexdowns.ac.uk.
