Hartlepool
is a vibrant and energetic town with growing prospects. As an authority we want
to make Hartlepool the best it possibly can be and want dedicated, driven and
committed staff to help us achieve that.
We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor Team Leader / Estimator to join our
multi-disciplinary consultancy team comprised of architectural technicians,
building surveyors, landscape architects, mechanical and electrical engineers
and quantity surveyors. This is a key role in overseeing and supporting the
delivery and project management of Capital and Revenue projects and assisting in
developing the in-house Construction Service delivery.
Applicants should be qualified at least to degree level or equivalent in quantity surveying. They must have recent experience in dealing with the delivery of construction projects and the management and delivery of the QS elements of such schemes.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate skills in cost management, tendering and procurement, and have a good working knowledge of relevant construction contractual issues and processes. As the role will also be responsible for assisting the in-house Construction Section with tendering and project costing, experience in contractor estimation will also be valuable.
Both sections are committed to providing a client focused service, delivering projects on programme and to budget. Applicants must have the appropriate skills to contribute to the achievement of these aims.
