We are pleased to be able to offer this opportunity for a HCPC registered Occupational Therapist to join the Occupational Therapy Team within Early Intervention Services. Although previous experience of social care would be desirable, we would be happy to hear from people who show initiative, enthusiasm and are happy to embrace change. The team works with both Adults and Children with a wide range of disabilities and complexities to promote independence and ensure people can live well and comfortably within their home environment. This also includes Residential and Nursing Care.

The Occupational Therapist will be expected to manage their own case load appropriate to size and complexity. Supervision and pier support will be provided on a monthly basis along with the opportunity to undertake a variety of training, both in-house and externally that will contribute towards Continued Professional Development. We are committed to supporting people who want to progress and with this, there will be an opportunity to supervision occupational therapy assistants and mentor new staff or students within the department. You will work alongside other professionals within social care and Disabled Facility Grant Officers and also a broad range of health professionals.

Hartlepool is a vibrant and energetic town with growing prospects. As an authority we want to make Hartlepool the best it possibly can be and want dedicated, driven and committed staff to help us achieve that. In return we can offer a range of benefits including 26 days paid holiday per year (rising to 31 days after 5 years service) in addition to Public Bank Holidays. We also offer family friendly policies with flexible working arrangements, access to a Local Government Career Average Pension Scheme with employer contributions along with various other staff benefits.
