Hartlepool is a vibrant and energetic town with growing prospects. As an authority we want to make Hartlepool the best it possibly can be and want dedicated, driven and committed staff to help us achieve that.
We are seeking to recruit a Support Officer to work as part of a busy PA team that provides dedicated secretarial and administrative support to senior managers within the Department. Recent previous experience in a similar administrative support or personal assistant role is essential and you should possess the ability to produce complex typed documents, spreadsheets and presentations at speed using appropriate Microsoft Office applications.
A significant element of the role will be to receive and respond to enquiries from various different sources including the local MP, Members of the Council, senior representatives of external agencies and partner organisations as well as the general public. You must therefore have excellent communication skills and be able to find solutions to a range of problems with only minimum supervision.
You must be qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration (or equivalent) and be a highly organised individual who is able to demonstrate a flexible approach to meeting important deadlines.
If you would like any further information about this post, please contact Janet Skelton (Acting PA to Director of Neighbourhoods & Regulatory Services on 01429 284271.
