An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated planning and commercial property lawyer to join the Councils Legal Department and to manage a small team dealing with all of the authoritys property, planning and commercial matters. The successful applicant will have knowledge of the Councils planning functions, strong commercial awareness and the ability to draft and complete complex s106 agreements.
You will be capable of advising upon all planning and other environmental issues, together with the competence of attending and advising members at Planning Committee. The applicant will equally be capable of dealing with the purchase and sale of commercial property assets including the drafting of complex conditional contracts and advising on complicated title matters and Landlord and Tenant issues. Knowledge of the Compulsory Purchase process would also be beneficial.
