Based within the Transport and Infrastructure Section, the post holder will play a key role in supporting the Asset Management Engineer in the delivery of the Councils highway network management responsibilities.

The successful candidate will ensure that all activities carried out on the public highway are undertaken in compliance with the National Roads & Street Works Act 1991 (NRSWA), the Traffic Management Act 2004 (TMA), the Authoritys Permit Scheme and any related national guidance and Codes of Practice.

Main duties of the post will include:-

Identifying potential conflicts and grant/ refuse applications as a result.

Assisting in the coordination of permits to resolve any conflicts or variation requests and liaise with the company to reach a satisfactory conclusion.

Accurate record keeping and extracting information in order to issue invoices to utilities and contractors.

The role will also involve attending meetings with contractors and liaising with members of the public in relation to highway and street works issues.
