Hartlepool Borough Council are seeking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated
School Nurses. You will be a registered
nurse or midwife with a specialist community public health nurse (SCPHN) qualification. If you are a student SCPHN due to qualify in
2023 we welcome your application. You
will be working as part of our 0-19 Early Help team in the Family Hub model,
and will be offered a preceptorship programme tailored to your needs, which
will include safeguarding support, clinical and management supervision and
ongoing training to meet your needs and enhance your knowledge of those
children, young people and families you will be working with.
As a SCPHN School Nurse you will lead and develop a family centered public
health approach, working with individuals, families and communities to improve
health and tackle inequalities. You will
be part of a multi skilled school nursing team offering an extensive public
health offer in schools and the community.
You will be committed to delivering evidence based practice, maintaining
current knowledge of local and national issues that impact the 5-19 population.
As a specialist practitioner you will professionally contribute to the on-going
development of the school nursing offer within the Early Help Team as part of
the Family Hub model.
As part of your benefits package the Council will reimburse your yearly NMC
registration fee and may be able to offer NHS clinical nurses recruited to
these posts access to Council long service leave entitlements.
Your NHS pension can be continued if
required.
