Description

Providing screening and security services to ensure that passengers, staff and visitors move efficiently, safely and securely through the airport in accordance with regulations and procedures.

Full-time and part-time positions available.  Various shift patterns and durations.

Key Tasks /Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Conducting hand searches of cabin luggage and passengers as required

Operating high-tech security equipment such as X-Ray machines, explosive trace                                              detectors and body scanners. (Depending on role)

Checking of staff ID cards and passenger boarding cards in security areas.

Working in and around passenger aircraft (outdoors)

Performing aircraft interior and exterior searches

Patrolling and observation of various areas of the airport

About you:

Successful applications are expected to have:

Good attention to detail

Ability to remain calm under pressure and work to procedures

Excellent dress code and personal presentation and hygiene 

Excellent timekeeping and work ethic

Good communication skills: fluent spoken and written English

Ability to work in a team or unsupervised (including remote locations)

Flexibility with regards to working hours and able to get to the airport for an early                                            morning shift start (dependent on site)

Eligibility Criteria:

Resided in the UK continuously for the last five years due to the nature of the security checks that                are required for this role

Ability to sit, stand, bend and walk for long periods of time due to the nature of the role

Colour perfect vision for viewing x-ray images. (Depending on role)

Successful applicants will be wearing personal protective equipment including safety shoes                           (provided)

If you are successful in the role you will be made a conditional offer subject to pre-employment checks and successful completion of your training. Background checks will include a criminal record check, 5-year referencing history and a counter terrorism check. All of these checks need to be completed and returned to us prior to starting training. 

Training

No previous aviation security experience is required; all training will be provided by our highly experienced in-house training department.

The training is regulated by the Civil Aviation Authority and includes classroom and practical training.
