ICTS works in
partnership with Bristol Airport, delivering security services to its 9 million
passengers. As an airport Security Agent, you will join a carefully selected
and trained team of agents responsible for delivering an outstanding customer
experience whilst maintaining the safety and integrity of the airport, its
passengers and staff. Whether it’s using specialist detectors and X-ray devices
to screen and scan passengers and their hand luggage, or verifying the identity
of crew and airport staff, one thing is for sure – this is a customer service
job with a difference. Team work, personality and a positive attitude are
essential. In this role some of your main responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out ID and boarding card checks
- Searching customers, staff, airline crew and
business partners
- Carrying our security checks on cabin baggage
- Operating security equipment such as body
scanner and X-ray machines
About you
The airport is
well-known for delivering an award-winning customer experience to its
passengers - and this experience starts with you. A great Security Agent at
Bristol Airport is energetic, motivated and willing to serve customers. The
working environment can be very social: during one shift, you’ll encounter
hundreds, even thousands of passengers - and being committed to delivering a
great customer service to all is what we’re looking for. This is a job where
you’ll need to be in good physical condition as you’ll spend a lot of time
standing, bending and moving trays and bags or walking lengthy distances.
You’ll need to adopt a flexible approach to your working hours too as we
operate a 24/7 operation which includes early mornings, evenings, weekends and
bank holidays. The work is done in shifts which take place around the clock,
and they can last from four to twelve hours, with morning shifts starting as
early at 2am.
Understandably
given the nature of our business, everyone who is employed at Bristol Airport
must undergo a rigorous referencing and vetting process. We will need different
information depending on the job we have offered you. For all roles we'll carry
out a criminal record check to confirm you do not have any live or unspent
convictions (this is called a basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
or basic disclosure). It's important to know that if you have resided in
another country or countries for 6 months or longer, you'll need to get
criminal record checks from all the relevant countries to cover the last five
years.
You will be
joining a dynamic and established Company with over 30 years of success in the
business. Business growth across all sectors, together with a rich curriculum
of training programmes (such as alternative passenger pre-screening methods and
First Aid at work courses), offer opportunities for career progression and job
satisfaction. We value our colleagues: they are our greatest asset.
By joining ICTS
you will be a part of a forward-thinking team. We employ 4,000+ staff hailing
from every continent of the world; with at least 60 different spoken languages.
Collaboration and team spirit lie at the heart of our operational ethos. We are
also looking at ways of encouraging women in Security and are proud to be
registered on the Armed Forces Covenant, supporting ex-servicemen and women.
You will be entitled to multiple benefits and Company incentives. Here are some
of the benefits we offer our employees:
- Full Training (Paid)
- Break times (Paid)
- Attendance Bonus
- Full uniform, to include personal protective
equipment (PPE)
- Personal Pension Scheme
- Discounted HSF Health Plan Insurance
- Employee Assistance Programme
- Discounted shopping platform
- Cycle to work scheme
Applicant should be residing in the UK for a minimum of the last 3 years. This does not mean to have an address in the UK whilst living abroad but are living and working here. SIA is not essential for this role as Full Training will be provided.
We believe that
it is important that hard work and dedication are recognised through reward and
recognition. To read more about the benefits you could receive, please visit
