Description
The role holder will :
• Work closely with the Director to implement plans to assure the retention of all contracts in the region
• Ensure that regular reviews are carried out with customers, to ensure that their needs are being met and that excellent customer service is achieved
• Design service delivery improvement/development plans for internal / external customers where applicable
• Manage contract commercial performance including aged debt to ensure budgeted margins are achieved and where possible exceeded
• Manage contract managers and site managers including individual managers personal development
• Participate in strategic succession planning and talent development
• Review and assess the potential to develop strategic partnerships with sector specialists to grow the ICTS brand
• Represent the company externally e.g. at networking events, conferences and exhibitions to enhance and strengthen the company’s profile and optimise all business development opportunities
• Ensure that all commercial activities meet or improve on budget, cost, volume and efficiency targets (Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)) in line with business objectives.
• Ensure good relations and communications with all members of the team and responding politely and in a timely fashion to internal and external customers.
• Take the lead on innovation to enable it to become a core part of the business
• Protect, and engage employees to deliver service in line with customer and ICTS requirements and standards
• Support and advocate company policy providing best example and strong leadership
Statement of duties:
Relationship Management
• Lead the contract security management team and work with other managers to project and manage the existing customer requirements
• Ongoing relationship development with customers and key contacts to review contract performance and ensure that quality standards are maintained in accordance with Service Level Agreements
• Liaise with and meet with customers and key contacts on a regular basis to review contract performance and ensure that quality standards are maintained in accordance with Service Level Agreements;
• Conduct regular site visits to ensure that the assignment instructions are updated and maintained. This may involve out of hours visits.
People Management
• To be responsible for all Operational staff and develop a full understanding of the functions covered at all sites including areas such as Security, CCTV, Reception and general business support
• To lead, manage and motivate direct reports including setting of goals/targets, performance reviews, appraisals, performance management, coaching, training and development planning
• To manage the recruitment and selection of the relevant levels of staff and actively performance manage and develop staff to maintain high levels of service and also with succession planning in mind
• To ensure appropriate processes are in place to approve and control leave, sickness absence and overtime to ensure appropriate cover of shifts, service levels are maintained and budgetary implications are minimised whilst remaining working time compliant
• Support Company vision, culture and core values through leadership, mentoring and coaching.
• To work with Contract and site managers to understand drivers behind staff attrition and to take steps to minimise losses
Business Acumen
• To have a full understanding of the drivers for new business.
• To participate fully in new business presentations, leading through sound knowledge of the customer requirements and budgetary considerations
• Forecasting for new, adhoc and lost business with a thorough understanding of the resources required to respond to these
• Ensure aged debt is managed in line with company policy
Health and Safety
• Display and encourage exemplary HSE leadership encouraging total commitment form regional workforce including any agency
• Provide and maintain a safe working environment which includes suitable welfare facilities
• Ensure appropriate processes are in place to identify report and rectify any deficit which could have a negative impact on health and safety (defective or faulty equipment etc.)
• Assist ICTS in complying with its statutory duties as required by the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and any other statutory provisions.
• Ensure your employees are informed and comply with their duties under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
• Reporting immediately to the Director any action or inaction which compromises safety;
Organisational Change
• Periodically review structure and approach to regional management to ensure it remains fit to deliver corporate goals over forthcoming 36 month window
• Participate in calls to action including feedback requests, working group attendance or volunteering for project involvement.
• Update processes to reflect current and future business needs
• Introduce innovation in processes, systems and services to ensure ICTS maintains its competitive advantage
• Respond to changes in the external environment including legislation, technology and trends
Selection Criteria:
Essential:
• Ability to meet all vetting requirements
• Proven background in business development with an emphasis of success with key or national accounts;
• Ability to maintain and develop positive working relationships with the Client;
• Extensive experience in commercial and operational management including leadership and team management in the service sector;
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills;
• A commercial business sense
• Commercially aware with an attention to detail;
• Proven record of strong working relationship building skills;
• Excellent organisational skills
• Ability to work under own initiative, making decisions to benefit ICTS and client;
• Competent on Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook
• Demonstrable experience of financial and commercial responsibility and budgetary control
• Confident and articulate communicator
• Highly motivated bypersonal achievement
• Demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding targets
• Relevant SIA security license as dictated by the requirements of the position
Desirable:
• Previous security industry or business to business experience
• Educated to degree level or equivalent or relevant Security Industry qualification
• Experience in delivering security solutions
