General Purpose Patrol Dog Handler

Must live within a maximum 1-hour drive from location (E14)

General Purpose Patrol Dog Handler based in East London conducting public reassurance patrols within an extremely busy location. Assisting ICTS clients with the reduction in antisocial behaviour, management of the night-time economy (licensed premises) and supporting a larger security detail. 

An experienced security professional, you will respond to requests for dog and handler searches, carry out high-profile, pro-active canine patrols, provide specialist advice where appropriate and promote security procedures.
You will also be responsible for transporting yourself and your dog to deployments and training, supervising, and controlling the dog in compliance with legislation and BS8517.
You will work closely with our clients to ensure service provision meets targets, completing deployment reports and communicating any issues to your manager.   
You will also be required to identify any security risks and report these to the client and your manager. 

Normal hours of work are 8 - 12hrs, covering various times of the day to support a well-established, layered security system. 

An SIA Door Supervisor (DS) licence is essential, and to succeed in this role you will also need:
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
• Full UK driving Licence (no more than six points)
• Five years checkable history
• Ability to pass required criminality checks
• Right to work in the UK 
• HABC Level 2 GP qualification:
          • Own dogs trained to NASDU Level 2 or equivalent, and sociable. 
          • BS compliant vehicle unmarked and free from external damage.

ICTS Canine Services will support you in the following:
Take ownership of annual re-licensing and costs (Canine and SIA).
Continuation training.
Veterinary first aid training
Covered under company insurance.
22 days annual leave (Plus 8 Bank Holidays).
Enhance pay if Bank Holidays are worked.
Fuel Mileage Claim as per www.gov.co.uk. 
Veterinary annual vaccinations, worming, flea, and tick treatment.
Veterinary care if injured at work, as a consequence of engaging directly in a work-related deployment, and in the line of duty.
