This is an exciting opportunity to join our Senior Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Chief Executive. You will lead in your portfolio area, as well as actively contributing to our collective leadership goals to deliver long term improvement and sustainable services for Wrexham County Borough Council.  This service is an organisational priority, has a programme board in place to support improvement and a proposal for an additional £1.5m investment in 2020/2021 budget.

This portfolio covers one of our most visible and important services. You will advise the Chief Executive and Elected Members on key issues and strategies as well as leading some of our most important change work, and other partnership projects. Expectations will be high both within and outside the Council but collective accountability and strong support will be provided.

You will be able to demonstrate excellent and visible leadership skills, be an accomplished communicator and have a proven track record of designing and delivering innovative and improved customer services and change programmes. We are seeking someone with excellent knowledge and skills in these areas as well as being able to lead cultural change that encourages honest conversations throughout the service and promotes a ‘One Council’ culture.
