This is an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker to join the Family centres in Wrexham. This post will involve undertaking high quality PAMS assessments for parents referred by the Childcare Social Work teams. You will have excellent assessment skills and will have the ability to build relationships with parents to ensure the best possible outcome for the family.

The family centres offer a range of preventative services and the person successful in the post will have the benefit of working alongside a team of workers with experience of parenting and specialist parenting in the field of substance misuse and domestic abuse. The aim is they will be able to (where applicable) support your recommendations in the final report by working with the family to meet the areas requiring further work.

Ideally you will already have undertaken the PAMS training but we are open to accepting applications from those who enjoy engaging families in assessments and who like the challenge of working to deadlines. Training in PAMS will be offered. You will be able to work in an agile way and will be supported to develop your practice.
