Description

G10 - £33,872 - £36,922 per annum

Are you passionate about leading a team, with a commitment to providing excellent customer service?  Are you forward thinking, innovative and have a ‘can do’ attitude?  Do you have experience in housing management? Yes?  Then we want you!

Join our Housing Tenancies team at Wrexham Council and you will be joining a team who puts the tenant at the heart of what we do.  The role of Team Leader – Estates is a varied and exciting position within the Housing Department, where you will be responsible for managing and leading a team of officers to provide an effective and customer focussed housing service to our tenants.  You will be responsible for all functions of the day to day management of an estate office and will support the senior management team in meeting key performance targets.

You will need to be creative and innovative as social housing changes, and work in partnership with other agencies and services in order to create an environment of sustainability for tenants and communities.  You will have proven experience of working in a supervisory position in housing management, along with knowledge of housing legislation and operations and the ability to apply this to service delivery. You will have a ‘can do’ attitude and the ability to analyse problems and recommend solutions.  You will need to be organised and approachable, as well as being confident and professional at all times

You’ll receive full training and continued support, with plenty of opportunities for progression within Wrexham Council. We also have lots of employee benefits for you to take advantage of, including our flexible working scheme and modern ways of working to support a healthy work life balance, plus discounted rates on a number of popular brands and attractions.

The Council welcomes applications from suitably qualified candidates regardless of race, gender, disability, sexuality, religious belief or age.

The Council is committed to developing its bilingual workforce and welcomes applications from candidates who demonstrate their capability to work in both English and Welsh. Applications submitted in Welsh will not be treated less favourably than an application submitted in English.
