G08 - £27,514 - £30,095 per annum

37 hours per week Tuesday-Saturday

We have been successful in grant funding to recruit a housing support officer working within the pilot areas of Caia Park, working as part of a team to deliver intensive support in the area. The post holder delivers housing-related support in line with the Welsh Government’s Housing Support Grant Programme in order to help vulnerable tenants to develop or maintain the skills and confidence needed to sustain independent living and prevent homelessness. The post holders role with be to sustain the tenancy by agreeing a tailor made plan with the tenant identifying support needs and working with the tenant to addressing these issues.

This is an exciting project that will change people lives empower tenants to make the right life choices resulting in them to have their forever home.  Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential, empathy and understanding the tenant’s needs. You will need to have at least two year’s experience of working in housing, social services or having dealt with venerable clients and understanding their complex needs. A basic knowledge of Housing and / or Social Care legislation.  An understanding of mental health, social services and other support agencies withinthe public and voluntary sector is also desirable.

An Enhanced DBS is required for this position.
