Black Lane is a happy and caring school community, which provides a stimulating environment where each child is valued and supported to reach their full potential. 

The Governing Body of Black Lane Primary School are seeking to appoint a temporary Teaching Assistant to cover a maternity post, working under the guidance of the teaching staff to support pupils with learning and assist the teacher with classroom management.  The role will be primarily within a Reception/Yr1 class.  This will involve supporting with preparing quality learning areas for children to learn and develop.  This will also involve supporting pupils in whole class, small groups and on a 1:1 basis.  

We are looking for someone who:

·         Is passionate about working with children and supporting their learning

·         Is flexible, adaptable and a good team player

·         Has high expectations of behaviour and be committed to promoting wellbeing

·         Has a good standard of personal literacy, numeracy and ICT skills

·         Has excellent communication skills with both children and parents

·         Has good understanding of play development 

Knowledge and experience within a Foundation Phase classroom is essential.  

An Enhanced DBS & EWC registration is required for this position.
