Black Lane is a caring, school community where children achieve the best for themselves in standards, wellbeing and the progress they make.  The Governing Body of Black Lane Primary School wish to appoint an outstanding primary classroom practitioner within our Foundation Phase team to cover a secondment post in a Nursery class. The post will be a part time 0.54 contract, morning sessions.  PPA is included in the contract and will be taken additional to the nursery sessions.  The post will be temporary whilst the substantial post holder attends a secondment post.

The successful candidate will work alongside a dedicated team of staff throughout the school and:

•          Be an experienced and successful Foundation Phase practitioner with excellent understanding of Foundation Phase pedagogy
•          Promote independent learning through a caring, stimulating and engaging environment.
•          Promote high aspirations and the determination to achieve for all children.
•          Be innovative, flexible, highly motivated and inspirational.
•          Aspire to create a supportive learning environment which promotes equality, health and well-being.
•          Have excellent communication skills, be pro-active and work well as part of a team.
•          Have an up to date knowledge of current pedagogy and curriculum developments in Wales.
•         Have high standards of literacy, numeracy and digital competence themselves; and be committed to the development of these cross curricular responsibilities across a rich and varied, learner led curriculum.
•        Have a commitment to developing Welsh language and culture. 

An Enhanced DBS & EWC registration is required for this position.
