Term time only plus 5 training days (39 weeks)

Due to the retirement of one of our wonderful Level 4 TAs, we are looking to recruit a new person to join our large team at Alexandra from January 2023.

We are looking for an experienced, highly skilled, flexible, enthusiastic and motivated teaching assistant to work in our wonderful school.

Alexandra has 13 mainstream classes and 5 specialist Resourced Provisions for pupils with complex needs. The position will initially be in one of the Resourced Provisions working with children with Social Communication difficulties.

The successful candidate will complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision.  This will involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups and short term for whole classes (PPA cover) and monitoring pupils and assessing, recording and reporting on pupils’ achievement, progress and development. There may also be responsibility for the management and development of a specialist area within the school and/or management of other teaching assistants including allocation and monitoring of work, appraisal and training. 

An Enhanced DBS & EWC registration is required for this position.
