G09 - £32,909 - £35,411 per annum (depending on skills and

The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a suitably experienced
Streetscene Supervisors, responsible for the delivery of all Streetscene
sevices.
Responsibilities
Manage all employees and resources necessary to deliver
streetscene functions. This includes:
• Highways
• Waste and
recycling
• Grounds
maintenance
• Country
parks
• Responsibility
for large numbers of individuals making up teams (40+), this will include
ensuring Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) submitted and are
relevant and fit for purpose.
• Responsible
for the work of sub-contractors working on Environment and Technical sites,
also ensuring sub-contract operatives are suitably qualified and certified for
the work they are undertaking
• To
oversee the day-to-day running operations of all areas of service within
Streetscene and Environment and Technical projects.
• Responsible
to ensure all team members are suitably trained for tasks they complete
• To report
accidents/Incidents that occur to have the responsibility of delegation to
ensure procedure is followed
• Initiate
communication with stakeholders/third parties and members
Key Responsibilities:
• Project
Management of multiple projects, all at various stages in their life cycle
• Service
Management (of multiple services)
• Assume
overall responsibility for the successful delivery of service
• Deliver
the works to the specified standard and within current policy
• Ensure
production and implementation of RAMS in line with WCBC procedures
• Produce
and constantly update manage the Streetscene works programmes
The Candidate
The successfully appointed Streetscene Supervisor will have
the following skills and abilities:
• A full
understanding of Streetscene Services and service delivery.
• Flexible
attitude to working arrangements
• Work
without close supervision, but a good team player.
• Experience
or knowledge of environmental management systems.
• Experience
of administrative work.
• An
excellent communicator with great influencing skills able to build exceptional
working relationships across all levels.
• Confident
in challenging unacceptable Health & Safety behaviour.
• Valid
driving licence (to travel between sites)
