G08 £29,439 – £32,020 per annum
The
Regeneration Service is looking to enhance the delivery of regeneration, place
making and economic growth strategies within the County Borough, which will
include exciting opportunities following the award of City Status and
successful applications to the UK Government’s Levelling Up Fund and Community
Renewal Fund. An experienced Team Leader and a Project Officer are required to
support the Service as it delivers a number of significant, high profile
projects including Place Making & city centre property investment, delivery
of the Technical Masterplan for the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct & Canal World
Heritage Site, the Wrexham Gateway Masterplan and development of the new Welsh
Football Museum.

The
regeneration section covers a range of different work areas and now has
opportunities for enthusiastic individuals with a passion for regeneration and
economic development and experience of developing and implementing capital
projects.
The posts will
be employed and hosted by Wrexham County Borough Council, with an expectation
that the successful candidate is able to work effectively in and across the
County Borough area an as required the wider region. The post will be
encouraged to adopt agile / modern methods of working to achieve this but as
lockdown restrictions are relaxed there will be a need to undertake some travel
support this work.
A strategic
approach and an understanding grant funding programmes and project management
within a physical regeneration or economic development context would be an
advantage for this role. Applications from Welsh speakers are encouraged. We
actively support the development of the Welsh Language and will provide
training and development as appropriate.
