This is an exciting opportunity to join Wrexham County Borough Council’s Climate Change and Carbon Reduction Team - leading on implementing the Council’s Plan to ensure we reduce the carbon emissions of the council and achieve our ambitious target of Net Zero by 2030.

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic candidate, interested in working as part of the team to deliver the themes within the plan:

•             Buildings and Energy

•             Transport and Mobility

•             Land Use and Green Infrastructure

•             Procurement and Supply Chain, and

•             Influencing and Enabling Change.

Whilst we welcome applications from people with a range of skills and experience, we are particularly interested in applications from people with experience or knowledge related to nature-supporting land-use solutions; procurement and/or communications, and behaviour change activities.

Within this role you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in Wrexham and to help embed decarbonisation into everything that the council does. You will be able to develop and lead on projects and activities that work towards the achievement of our goals and the delivery of our Decarbonisation Plan.
