This post is within the Housing Department and is to provide support and a work planning function, controlling the work of in-house trade operatives in the Housing repairs section, which is responsible for maintaining 11,300 council houses.

You will provide support to the Responsive Repairs team, managing and imputing tasks for trades diaries, liaising with colleagues to ensure repairs are completed in a timely manner and to the satisfaction of the customer. 

You will have responsibility for a team of 4 work planners, ensuring as a team you meet all targets for completion of repairs. You will deputise for, assist and support the Team Leader as necessary and will otherwise undertake duties of Work Planner on a daily basis.  

The post holder will be a self- starting, resilient team worker, with good interpersonal and communication skills along with good I.T. skills and the ability to multi task.
