ICT Technical Analyst – Server & Storage 

G09 £32,909 - £35,411 per annum 

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the busy and expanding ICT Infrastructure team at Wrexham County Borough Council. As a Technical Analyst, you will be working on a wide range of hardware and software covering all areas of the Council’s services. 

Based in the ICT Infrastructure team, reporting to the ICT Infrastructure Manager, the post will play a key role in supporting the Council’s Datacentre technologies. Your work will be varied covering the implementation and support of new and existing enterprise level hardware and software for Wrexham Council, its employees, business partners, service stakeholders and members of the public. 

The successful candidate should have good up to date knowledge and experience of the following skills and technologies: 

·         Experience of managing Microsoft Windows Servers 2016/2019/2022

·         Experience of managing servers in a virtual environment ideally VMWare

·         Good knowledge of SAN Administration and Management

·         Knowledge of Backup & Disaster Recovery Management

·         Knowledge and experience Active Directory/DHCP/DNS/Group Policy Administration

·         Experience of Patch & Vulnerability Management

·         Knowledge of O365/ Microsoft Exchange Administration

·         Knowledge of Antivirus Management

·         Knowledge of TLS/SSL Certificate Management

You should have a good experience in IT infrastructure and support and be able to demonstrate a systematic & analytical approach to problem solving. With the ability to prioritise workloads and to take ownership of tasks and projects assigned to you.  You will also need to have excellent communication skills and enjoy being part of a successful team.
