G09 - £32,909 - £35,411 to G10 - £36,298 - £39,493 pro rata

Temporary (05/06/23 – 19/07/24)

Term Time Only - 39 weeks per year

An opportunity has arisen to recruit an Education Social Worker to join a busy and supportive team based in Wrexham.

The successful candidate will provide support and challenge to schools and families on matters primarily relating to school attendance, exclusion and safeguarding in line with departmental and national legislation, guidance and policy.

The successful candidate will be expected to undertake assessments and be able to co-ordinate support for service users. The candidate must be a good team player with excellent organisational, time management and communication skills.

Court work experience is desirable but is not essential.

An enhanced DBS & Social Council for Wales registration is required for this position.  

Applicants must be able to speak a proficient level of Welsh due to the role covering our Welsh Medium schools.

This is a temporary post, term time only, funded until July 2025 initially but this may be extended dependant on funding from Welsh Government.
