Based at Wrexham County Borough Council, Caia Park Partnership, Prince Charles Rd, Wrexham, LL13 8TH.

Due to an increase in funding, this is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and successful team that forms part of the Welsh Government’s flagship programme to address long term unemployment in Wales that targets those from disadvantaged or excluded backgrounds with complex barriers to employment.

The Participant and Engagement Officer will be based within the Communities for Work Plus Team that provides intensive one to one mentoring to participants and help them identify and take practical steps to overcome barriers preventing them taking up identified training and employment.  Although working with all ages, it is likely that the focus of this post holder will be on working with young people aged 16 to 24 years old.

The post holder’s will lead the development of new and innovative methods to raise the profile and awareness of the programme, utilising all forms of social media and national awareness campaigns and work closely with local community groups, partner organisations and other Council departments to encourage partnership working and appropriate referrals for support from the programme.
