SECONDMENT

Part Time considered

This post will initially be a secondment from 1st September 2023, or as soon as possible thereafter, until August 31st 2024 with a possible extension subject to funding to a maximum of 2 years. It will be to support the development of Early Education practice and the implementation of the Curriculum for Funded Non-Maintained Nursery Settings.

The successful candidate will visit playgroups and private day nurseries offering statutory education to three- year old children, to offer support and advice.

The post requires an experienced, enthusiastic teacher with an excellent knowledge and understanding of child development and Early Years pedagogy to work as a valuable member of the Funded Early Education Team.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a good understanding of current developments in Early Years, have a flexible approach and be able to support practitioners in a variety of non-maintained settings.

Good communication and interpersonal skills, a strong sense of teamwork and a willingness to be involved in the delivery of training are essential. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable but not essential.

You should gain the permission of your Head teacher if you are applying for a secondment.

To commence on 1st September 2023 or as soon as the successful candidate can be released.
