37 Hours/52.14 Weeks

Salary up to £39,808

Postholder to start August 2024.

As an engineering lecturer you’ll be influencing and inspiring the engineers of the future. Bring your passion for your subject into the classroom, engaging and motivating young people.

Planning and delivering engaging lessons, you’ll also contribute to the direction and shape of the engineering function as it grows and develops.   You’ll not only support students in their academic ambitions but more broadly during this critical point in their lives.

It’s vital you bring a real desire to work with young people coupled with the ability to explain complex engineering theories in an easy-to-understand way.  Passing on your degree level knowledge and industry experience to help students understand the demands of the workplace is crucial to success in this role as this will help them make the transition into good quality work in this rewarding career.

You’ll need to show empathy and ability to work with young people.  Whilst you’ll ideally have some experience of teaching and a qualification, we can teach you to teach!

This post is subject to a DBS check.

Closing date: Monday 6th May
