Come and support and inspire change to make a
difference for children and families in Hartlepool.

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to come and join our Participation Team and contribute to the development of this exciting service that ensures children and young people are listened to and involved in their lives and the decisions that affect them.
As someone with knowledge and experience of
children who are cared for and care leavers, you will lead on the development
and delivery or our Care Leaver Programme, support groups within our Children
in Care Council portfolio and co-ordinate the participation of the Fostering
service. You will plan a number of
events including Corporate and consultation events. You will lead on digital development of an
app and online platform. You will conduct
training and work collaboratively across teams to support children and young
people.
As a Participation Officer in Hartlepool, you
will:
Have the opportunity to focus on areas of participation practice that have a particular interest to you, including working alongside experienced staff to develop your practice and share experience
· Be encouraged to bring a
creative and innovative approach to the role and the methods of engagement with
children and young people
· Access a broad range of
training and development, both formal and informal
· Develop alongside young
people and foster carers to ensure services are developed and continually
improve
· Work with providers to
develop and maintain digital apps and platforms
· Plan a wide range of events
