Hartlepool is a vibrant and energetic town with growing prospects. As an authority we want to make Hartlepool the best it possibly can be and we therefore require dedicated, driven and committed staff who possess the right values, to help us achieve that.
Culturally and creatively, there are exciting times ahead in Hartlepool, including the refurbishment of the Borough Hall, hosting the internationally renowned 2023 Tall Ships, the development of a new strategic Cultural Partnership and ambitious plans to establish the town as a major centre for the creative industries.
As a community, the opportunity to be creative, to participate in or to experience the performing arts is key to inspiring, engaging and enriching the lives of our residents. Our venues and programmes contribute positively to improved mental wellbeing, community cohesion, enhanced local identity and economic impact.
The Performance Venues Manager will play an important role in helping us to realise our ambition. Responsible for indoor and outdoor performance venues, you will drive the development and delivery of high quality, creative and customer focused programmes and activities.
Through passionate, visionary management and leadership, working with the Head of Service and local and regional partners, you will develop our audience, broaden our offer and build longer term sustainability. A strong background in the creative and cultural sector, sound business knowledge and outstanding venue management skills are therefore essential.
