Hartlepool Borough Councils Community Hubs have gone through an exciting period of change and we are looking for enthusiastic individuals to help us drive forward our next chapter and ensure we meet the needs of the local community.
Based predominantly at Community Hub South, but working across the Community Hubs, the successful applicant will plan and prepare food to a high standard for our Food @ The Hubs offer. This includes a Community Kitchen, utilising surplus and donated ingredients to provide affordable hot meals, plus preparing food to be sold within our Central Hub Caf.
The post holder will use their previous experience in food preparation to create a variety of menus, order stock, keep appropriate records and maintain high levels of good hygiene, ensuring all relevant legislation and guidelines are adhered to.
Using their excellent communication skills the successful applicant will develop good relationships with volunteers and placements, who will support with food preparation and service, plus hub staff, service users, agencies and partners, to support an inclusive offer which meets the needs of our community.
The post holder will be expected to work Wednesdays and Thursdays, however flexibility will be required to support ad hoc events and activities.
