Band 7- 9 £22,777- £29,439 pro rata

1 X 24hpw post - night permanent

  

Exmoor Grove is an Ofsted Outstanding Residential Home and Short Break Unit for children with disabilities.  Children who come to Exmoor Grove have a range of needs and disabilities including learning disabilities, acquired brain injury, autism, ADHD and challenging behaviours.

We are seeking to recruit suitable people to join our established and experienced team. We have a vacancy for a waking night post.

Applicants will possess a passion for working with children and support them to develop skills enabling them to build a positive future.

In addition you will be expected to display a strong team spirit, demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to work across internal departments and with external agencies. The team work directly with children and young people with disabilities and their families and carers to deliver support and services, which promote change and development and meet physical , emotional , intellectual, behavioural, health, social and cultural needs.

You will need to have appropriate experience and a professional approach to carry out all aspects of personal and direct care in supporting children with various disabilities and challenging behaviour.

Applicants must have:

NVQ / QCF Level 3 Residential Childcare or equivalent, or a willingness to complete this qualification when in post.

Experience of working with children and young people with disabilities or a similar client group

A positive attitude and ability to understand trauma informed practice

A willingness to be flexible and work unsocial hours which will include waking nights, early mornings, evenings,    weekends and bank holidays.
