An opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified Social Work practitioner to work within the Adult Safeguarding team. We are looking for a social worker with a relevant qualification and experience to be involved in the delivery of our statutory safeguarding duties.
The successful candidate will be expected to work within an existing adult care management team and will undertake safeguarding enquiries on behalf of the Local Authority. The successful candidate will work in collaboration with colleagues from other agencies (e.g. Health, Police, CQC and Commissioning) and will be expected to have In-depth knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005 to ensure compliance of the work within a legal framework.
The role is demanding and requires an ability to assess, manage and mitigate risk whilst ensuring the person rights are respected.
