The Economic Growth Team is responsible for growing the economy of Hartlepool by assisting businesses to start up and grow and through targeted regeneration projects.
 

Reporting to the Principal Economic Growth Officer, the successful candidate will be part of the Economic Growth Team that is responsible for supporting local businesses to help them invest and grow in the town. 

This is a career grade post that offers the successful candidate excellent opportunities to develop their skills and experience in business, marketing and project management. 

The post holder will also assist the Principal Economic Growth Officer in policy development, projects and initiatives that support businesses and economic growth in Hartlepool. 

There will also be a requirement to engage and work closely with various business support organisations across the Tees Valley particularly the Tees Valley Combined Authority who are delivering a number of support schemes to businesses. 

The successful candidate must be self-motivated and have the ability to work under pressure and within tight timescales. You will also possess good interpersonal and networking skills as well as the ability develop long term relationships with businesses.
