Hartlepool is a vibrant and energetic town with growing prospects. As an authority we want to make Hartlepool the best it possibly can be and want dedicated, driven and committed staff to help us achieve that.

Hartlepool Borough Council operates the National Driver Offender Retraining Scheme (NDORS) contract for the management of clients onto driver offender retraining courses for both Cleveland and Durham Police Forces. We wish to appoint a Road Safety Support Assistant, principally to contribute to the administrative work required to deliver this contract but also to participate in the wider duties of the team as necessary.

As part of this role, you will be expected to undertake tasks such as processing referrals, dealing with customer queries and helping to ensure course venues are organised. You will interact with our clients on a daily basis, mainly by telephone and will therefore need to possess excellent customer service skills. You must also be able to remain calm under pressure and be extremely accurate in your work so that all legislative and policy requirements are met. An NVQ2 Business Administration qualification (or equivalent) is essential and you need to have experience of working in a similar Customer Services role. An understanding of the NDORS programme would also be advantageous to the successful candidate.

Due to the sensitive information handled in this role, the successful applicant will require to have had a police check prior to being confirmed in the role.

For further information please contact Sam Foster, NDORS Team Leader on 01429 284076.

Closing date: Monday 15 April 2024, midnight

PLEASE NOTE - All communication regarding your application for this post will be sent to the e-mail address that you have registered.  Please ensure that you also check your junk mail
