Hartlepool Borough Council are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Business Support Officer to provide business administration support to the Hartlepool and Stockton-on-Tees Safeguarding Children Partnership (HSSCP). 

HSSCP is a multi-agency partnership whose aim is to “ensure that every child in Hartlepool and Stockton-on-Tees feels safe, secure and is protected from harm; enabling them to reach their full potential”. The Business Support Officer will play an integral part in the Partnership by acting as a first point of contact for the service.

As a HSSCP Business Support Officer working within the Children’s Services Department of Hartlepool Borough Council, you will: 

·     Support the day to day administrative running of the Safeguarding Children Partnership, supporting the HSSCP Business Manager and wider partnership members

·      Operate and maintain effective and efficient office systems

·      Take responsibility for specific administrative functions, for example: co-ordinating meetings, minute-taking, processing of training applications and evaluations, updating the Tees-wide Child Protection procedures website. 

The applicant will be expected to promote team working within their service area, across council departments, with colleagues from external agencies including the statutory, community and voluntary, and business sectors and with elected members. 

Due to the sensitive and confidential nature of the work, the successful applicant will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring check. 

The successful candidate will be fully supported to develop in the role as required. 

This is a hybrid post based 2 days per week at CETL, Hartlepool, with the remaining hours based at home.
