Band 10 – 12   £32,076- £42,403 per annum

Children’s & Joint Commissioning Services have vacancies within the Fostering Team. We are looking to recruit qualified Supervising Social Workers to join our friendly fostering team. We offer very well supported and manageable caseloads. The successful applicants will need to have experience in the recruitment, assessment, and support of foster carers. You will have knowledge of Fostering legislation, procedure, and compliance. You will be child focused. We will offer manageable caseloads to ensure you can provide bespoke support to foster carers, excellent training opportunities to further develop your practice and you will be part of a well-established, dedicated and motivated team. We have embedded the Secure Base Model into our practice and we ensure all new members of staff undertake training to allow them to confidently use the model.

We are especially proud of thesupport and guidance we offer newly qualified Social Workers. A dedicated team of very experienced practitioners work very closely with the newly qualified Social Workers and Team Managers to ensure newly qualified Social Workers have the very best experience and finish their first year in practice highly skilled and full of confidence. Our most recent Ofsted ILAC inspection and focused visit judged us as being ‘good’ regarding the effectiveness of our safeguarding services and outcomes for children and young people and “Outstanding” for services to Children In Our Care.

 We are currently working a hybrid model allowing staff to work in the office and at home. You should possess a social work qualification at a degree or diploma level (or equivalent). Hartlepool Borough Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. This post is subject to safer recruitment measures, including an enhanced DBS barring list check and also need to be registered with Social Work England.
