The Adult Transition and Learning Disability Team have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Team Manager to join our dynamic and dedicated team. The Team has a combined function supporting young adults in transition with SEND and also adults with lifelong learning disabilities.
Under the umbrella of Safeguarding you will undertake social care assessments, planning; monitoring and reviewing packages of support and make professional, evidence based, risk-informed, complex decisions based on legislation, statutory guidance, policies and procedures including Adult Safe Guarding enquiries and Strategy Meetings to ensure actions taken are well-considered and focus on the best interests of the person and carers.
The successful candidate will have the skills, values and resilience to support people in times of challenge and difficulty which will include supporting people who have experienced trauma in their lives, have substance addictions, difficult relationships and limited social networks.
It is essential that you are able to provide clear leadership, maintain strong established partnerships, recognising both the challenges and benefits of locality working. You will have proven experience in supervising other professionals.
You will receive regular supervision and an annual appraisal, be well supported and have opportunities in respect of career development, including experiencing a variety of roles within adult social care.
The successful applicant must be a qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
