SOCIAL CARE OFFICER REF: SR- 101322
Band 7-9 £24,702 to £31,364 pa
Permanent
37 hours per week - occasional weekend working
Hartlepool Borough Council is committed to providing a high quality service to the people of Hartlepool. Devoting resources, energy, and imagination to promote the well-being of the people of Hartlepool through effective social care partnerships. You will have recent relevant experience working in a Social Care setting and of dealing with enquiries from members of the public or other agencies.
A sound knowledge base and understanding of roles and responsibilities within Social Care is essential, ideally including knowledge of current developments and service pathways.You will be required to complete social care assessments, support plans and annual reviews of health and social care provision regarding commissioned services and direct payments. You will also need good administrative skills and have proven experience in developing, maintaining and inputting information on electronic based systems to provide timely management information.
You will also be able to demonstrate sound analytical skills and effective decision-making within the appropriate timescales and present a person-centred approach with the ability to deal with people tactfully and sensitively who access our services. The successful applicant will receive regular supervision and an annual appraisal, they will be well supported and have opportunities in respect of their career development with the potential to experience a variety of roles within adult social care.
